Troubleshooting: Placement Showing in Wrong BTE Group

A Bullhorn One Placement may show up under the wrong group in BTE for a few reasons. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot a Placement displaying in the incorrect group in Bullhorn Time & Expense (BTE).

  1. Verify the placement's group assignment in ATS: Check the Placement record in the ATS to confirm which group it is currently associated with. The group assignment is typically controlled by the hiring manager or the job order's associated users.

  2. Check the sync status between ATS and BTE: Since Bullhorn One integrates ATS and BTE, verify when the Placement was last synced to BTE. Look for any sync errors or warnings that might indicate the data transfer failed or is pending.

Placement Viewer can be used to check the Sync Status and Details. See Using the Placement Viewer for more informaiton.

  3. Investigate recent group assignment changes: Determine whether the group assignment or hiring manager was recently changed in the ATS. Changes made in ATS need time to sync to BTE and may not appear immediately.

  4. Check for customization rules or automation: Review any workflows, automation rules, or custom configurations that might automatically reassign placements based on specific criteria. These could be overriding manual group assignments.

  5. Force a sync or refresh (if applicable): If the placement should be in a different group and the sync appears delayed, determine if there's an option to manually trigger a sync or refresh of the placement data.

Use the Fetch Placements tool to pull placements over to BTE from ATS.
