Why Use a Data Gateway

Data Gateways are a time-saving service that allow for secure remote data refreshes and scheduling. Without a Data Gateway, to refresh a report you'd have to take the following steps:

1. Open the report in Power BI Desktop.
2. Manually refresh the report.
3. Re-publish the report back to the web application.
