Company Auto-Linking

If you don't want to utilize auto-linking, set Account Mapping Setting Disable Company Auto-Mapping to On in VMS Sync Admin Tools.

When a VMS Company is first saved, VMS Sync will attempt to auto-link it to an ATS Company, using Google Place IDs. Auto-linking uses the following logic:

  1. First, VMS Sync checks whether an ATS Company exists in its database with the VMS Company's exact Google Place ID saved to it.
    • If a match is found: The VMS Company is auto-linked to the ATS Company.
    • If a match is not found: VMS Sync performs a second check.
  2. For the second check, VMS Sync retrieves all saved ATS Companies with the same zip code as the VMS Company, and queries Google to find and save their Google Place IDs.
    • If a match is found: The VMS Company is auto-linked to the matching ATS Company.
    • If a match is not found: VMS Sync saves the VMS Company as Unmapped.
