Amplify Verify Snippet Integration Guide (Customers)

Amplify Verify is currently in Early Access. For more information, speak to your Bullhorn representative.

The Amplify Verify snippet enables Amplify Verify to collect behavioral and session-level data from candidates as they complete a job application on your website. For most customers, the snippet is delivered through Bullhorn Automation, so setup is straightforward if you already have Automation running on your job site.

The snippet works by establishing a session in the background when a candidate loads your application page, then passing a session ID to Bullhorn when they submit. No personally identifying information is collected.

Before getting started, make sure your organization's privacy policy reflects that non-identifiable data is collected during the application process and may be used for fraud detection purposes.

If you are a marketplace partner integrating Amplify Verify into your job application framework, see Amplify Verify Snippet Integration Guide (Partners).

Step 1: Add the Automation Snippet to Your Job Application Website

Amplify Verify is delivered through the Bullhorn Automation snippet. If you have already set up the Automation snippet for your Screener integration on the same website as your job board, you don't need to add it again.

If you haven't set it up yet, follow the instructions in this article: Website Tracking.

If your job application website uses the Bullhorn Open Source Career Portal (OSCP), the snippet is already included in the OSCP codebase as of April 2026. Pull the latest code from GitHub and no further steps are required.

Step 2: Forward the Trust Session ID

When a candidate submits their application, Bullhorn needs to receive the Trust Session ID to link the session to the candidate record. How this works depends on how your job application website is set up.

If your job application website talks directly to the Bullhorn REST API, the Trust Session ID is forwarded automatically and no further action is needed.

If you use one of the following integrated job boards, you just need to enable Amplify Verify in the job board's admin area:

  • StaffingFuture

  • Haley Marketing

  • Boostie

If your job application website uses its own custom API, you will need to forward the Trust Session ID to Bullhorn through your API:

Get the current Trust Session ID in the web browser and pass it onto your backend using:

Copy
window.Trust?.sessionId

Then append the Trust Session ID as a query parameter on any Bullhorn requests you make for the job application:

Copy
rest91.bullhornstaffing.com/rest-services/abc123/entity/Candidate?trustSessionId=XYZ

The Trust Session ID can be passed to any of the following Bullhorn endpoints:

  • /apply/<jobOrderId>/raw?trustSessionId=${trustSessionId}

  • /entity/JobSubmission?trustSessionId=${trustSessionId}

  • /entity/Candidate?trustSessionId=${trustSessionId}

FAQ

What if sessionId is undefined?

window.Trust?.sessionId is null until the session has been established. If it stays undefined indefinitely, the snippet may have failed to load. Check the snippet URL is correct and the <script> tag is present.
