Sending Job Matches to your Candidates

Overview

This article outlines how to set up a single campaign while ensuring that your candidates will still always see the most recent and relevant jobs. This is done by Bullhorn Automation regularly updating with all of the jobs directly from your website and matching them to the right candidate.

Sending Dynamic Jobs

Bullhorn Automation has two Features available to choose from to send determine what Jobs are sent to your Candidates:

Once you have determined which is the best for you, please reach out to Bullhorn Automation support to enable this before attempting to add Dynamic Job Links to your emails.

If you attempt to send Dynamic Job Links to Candidates before this feature is enabled, these links will not work.

Adding Dynamic Jobs to an Email Using the Email Builder

The process for adding jobs is similar to merging in a contact’s name or any other information. The key difference is it will include a link to a dynamic job and use logic from Bullhorn Automation to determine which job to include. If there aren’t enough jobs for this candidate based on their category, Bullhorn Automation will automatically select other jobs so the candidate will always see the number of jobs you’ve added to your email.

  1. Navigate to the section in the email builder where you want to add your jobs.
  2. Click Special links > Links.
  3. You will see five links to add jobs, where you can add up to five dynamic jobs you’d like to include.
    • Make sure you only include each link once, unless you’d like the same job to show twice in a single message.
    • Example: If you’d like to show three jobs in a message, add %JOB1%, %JOB2% and %JOB3%.
  4. After your jobs have been added, you can update the formatting just as you would for any other text.

You can verify which jobs a candidate is matched with by looking on their Bullhorn Automation profile record. Under the Activity Feed, you can find the top five jobs that match that candidate using one of the features below:

Job Syncing Feature

Bullhorn Automation will display these jobs in your emails as shown in this area for that Candidate:

Example: Let's say you've included three dynamic jobs in your email. If a candidate receiving a Bullhorn Automation email is tagged with a marketing category, and you have only two marketing jobs listed on your website, the third job will automatically populate with another non-marketing job using your Fallback List of Jobs.

Semantic Match Feature

Bullhorn Automation will display these Jobs in your emails as shown in this area for that Candidate.

Example: Let's say you've included three dynamic jobs in your email. If a candidate receiving a Bullhorn Automation email has two jobs scored "Excellent" and three jobs scored "Poor", Bullhorn Automation will still display a "Poor" scored Job in the email.
