Tags Examples
Tags allow you to break free of the hierarchical structure within Bullhorn Analytics to facilitate customised reporting. By tagging users and groups with similar characteristics, you can collate their performance even if they sit in different parts of the business. Tags can be used in OneView, Slice & Dice, Gamification, and Trends.
This article gives various examples for using Tags effectively in .
Tag Usage Tips
Business Type
Using the Business Type Tag, you can easily separate your Perm/Direct Hire and Contract/Temp activity or revenue. This enables you to report on Perm/Direct Hire business activity and revenue across the whole business.
- By separating your Perm and Contract consultants on revenue you can identify which areas of the business are performing the strongest.
- In Gamification, Business Type Tags allow you to visualise both Perm/Direct Hire and Contract/Temp activity and sales leaderboards.
Experience
Experience Tags allow you to separate and report over individuals with differing tenure levels or experience.
-
Separate all new starters, e.g. First 6 Months into their own leaderboards in Gamification to help motivate new team members through the onboarding process.
- Experience Tags also allow you to look back over historical data in Slice & Dice to understand how long it took for your consultants to make their first placement and what activity they were generating in early tenure. This information can then be used to shape onboarding benchmarks and help with target applications.
Reporting Manager
Using the Reporting Manager Tag, you can classify and report over reporting lines. Often, different groups report into the same manager, and this Tag helps you easily collate data from these groups into one report.
- Using Reporting Manager Tags in Trends provides visibility of manager efficacy and leadership quality over time and helps to identify what a successful leader looks like in your business.
Geographical Region / Industry Sector
If your hierarchical structure is not based on geographical location, then you can use Location Tags to report over specific office locations or regions easily. Conversely, if you are set up with a location-based hierarchy, you could use Industry Sector based Tags to report by sector across the business, e.g., report over your Life Science departments in London, Paris and New York.
- You can set up leaderboards on Gamification, which show users only in specific offices or industry sectors, and trend charts to display each region or office or vertical individually.
- In Trends, you could overlay each vertical across multiple time periods to identify which industry sectors are performing the best over any time period.
- Or simply segment your results in OneView!
