“Optimized for Multilingual” Amplify Screener Setting
The Optimized for Multilingual setting makes your Amplify Screener more accessible to candidates worldwide. When enabled, the screener detects the candidate’s browser language and offers translation support, so candidates can complete their screening in the language they’re most comfortable with.
This helps create a fair, consistent, and user-friendly experience across regions.
Enabling “Optimized for Multilingual”
-
Open your Screener engagement.
-
Click on the Voice Screener question to edit settings.
When selected, you’ll also see the option Always Generate Summary in English:
-
If checked, recruiters always receive the transcript and summary in English.
-
If unchecked, the transcript and summary will match the candidate’s chosen language.
When Optimized for Multilingual is enabled, only AI voice options that support multiple languages are available in the Voice dropdown.
How “Optimized for Multilingual” Works
If you don’t enable this setting:
-
The screener is shown only in the original language used when writing the questions.
-
Candidates cannot translate the content into another language.
-
This may create barriers for applicants who are not fluent in that language.
If you do enable this setting:
-
The screener automatically detects the candidate’s browser language (if the language is supported).
-
System-generated questions and key interface elements are dynamically translated.
-
Candidates can switch to another supported language using a dropdown.
This ensures the screening experience feels natural to candidates, no matter their location.
