Online Application System Settings

The Online Application is where candidates create and complete their profiles. These configuration settings allow you to control which fields are presented, how the application behaves, and what information is collected.

This guide outlines key options to customize the candidate experience and ensure the application process aligns with your organization's goals.

General Application Behavior

Disable Online Application

What it Does

Prevents new candidates from submitting applications through the portal.

Use Case

For private deployments or agencies that only create candidate records internally.

Effect

Only existing candidates can log in; new signups are blocked.

Keeping this setting disabled will allow candidates to “sign-up” and complete a profile.

Enable Resume Upload

What it Does

Allows candidates to upload a resume during the application process.

Use Case

Capture work history in a familiar format.

Effect

Resume upload appears in the Basic Information section.

When connected to the ATS, we have the ability to pass the resume over to the ATS to parse and then the updated information flows back to Talent Platform in the respected areas

Prompt for Branch Location

What it Does

Asks the candidate to select the branch location they are applying to.

Use Case

Helpful for multi-office organizations managing local talent pools.

Effect

Becomes a required field when enabled.

Enable Multi-Language Support

What it Does

Displays the application in multiple languages, based on candidate preference.

Use Case

Essential for candidate accessibility in diverse regions.

Note: Translation content must be configured using the Translations Editor.

When this is enabled, navigate to the translations section of Talent Platform and enable the languages you want to disable for each location AND which location should default

Section Visibility Controls

Each of the following settings allows you to hide or show specific sections of the candidate profile.

Use Case

Simplify the application for faster onboarding, or if certain data is collected later.

What They Do

Displays custom instructions or messaging based on the outcome of the application.

Welcome Email Message

What it Does

Adds a custom message to the welcome email candidates receive after registering.

Multi-language Support: Requires enable_language_support if using translated content.

Leverage the translation section to update this notification. Keep in mind that if you are leveraging multiple languages to update all language translations.

Auto Order eDocs After Application

Package A group of Forms grouped together based on Location, Client, or other internal design that can be assigned as a single Task to Send: auto_order_edocs_package
Authorized Rep Name/Email: auto_order_edocs_second_signer_name, auto_order_edocs_second_signer_email

What They Do

Automatically assigns electronic documents for signature once a candidate completes their application.

Use Case

Streamline onboarding with automated paperwork.

Pre-hire automation can be used for this instead of this configuration
