E-Verify Photo Matching
For certain List A documents, E-Verify An online system that confirms the eligibility of an Employee to work in the United States. The process compares information entered by an employer from an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to confirm employment eligibility. will prompt recruiters to complete a photo match during the case creation. This requires comparing the photo on the employee’s document with a photo that E-Verify has on file.
Based on the customer’s settings, Bullhorn Onboarding will require the front and back of photo match documents (or in the case of a U.S. passport, the passport ID page and the barcode page) to be uploaded during the completion of Section 2. Employers should compare the photo displayed by E-Verify on the left to the photo from the employee’s document on the right.
If the correct document was not uploaded when Section 2 was completed, the employee’s actual (or copy) document can be used to complete the photo match.
How to Photo Match
- E-Verify prompts employers to compare the photo displayed from E-Verify (left) with the photo from the employee’s I-9 Form I-9 to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. photo document (right).
- Employers should compare the two photos, making sure they are identical.
- There may be minor variations between the two photos, based upon the age and wear of the employee’s document and the quality of the photo.
- Select the option next to the appropriate response.
- Click Continue and proceed with the case appropriately.
