Five Ways to Build Searches for Overseas Markets

Overview

This article contains five ways you can use SourceBreaker to build searches for international markets.

Language Keyword Groups

For specific language requirements, use our language speaking keyword groups, such as “German Speaking”. If you wish to create a new language group, remember to include words both in English and the native language, and include words such as "Speaking", "Native" and "Proficiency".

This will find all candidates who have specified they can speak this language, regardless of which language they use!

World Universities

To find foreign language speakers you can also look at a candidate's educational background for clues. For example, you can search universities in Germany.

Remember to select both the English and Foreign language group merged together:

Tip: Remember to push these searches across to LinkedIn!

Translated Keyword Groups

To generate more leads in overseas markets, try adding relevant translations to new or existing groups.

For example, include the Spanish word for "Developer" when searching in Spain. Any candidates or clients who have written terms in Spanish will then also appear in your search, allowing you to uncover more results!

Contact us at sourcebreakersupport@bullhorn.com if you are looking at a specific language e.g. German or French as we may already have some groups built out!

Here are some great translation websites which are more accurate than Google Translate:

Foreign Qualifications

Try adding equivalent overseas qualifications for any search using a qualifications keyword group. For example, the Spanish equivalent of "CIPD" is "AEDIPE":

Business Development

Regional Company Groups

Create company groups of your clients or target clients within these regions.

Tips:

  • Keep lead searches as broad as possible, especially when searching in foreign markets.
  • Create SourceBots on these searches to be notified as soon as a job lead is posted!
