Compose Message DHTML Editor Font Size Display
To ensure emails display consistently across all email clients, we’ve updated how font sizes are measured in the Compose Message DHTML editor. Previously, font sizes in this editor were selected in pt (points), but most email clients interpret those values as px (pixels) instead. This caused text to appear smaller than expected when an email was received.
As of the BH R2026.2 release (February 2026), all font size options in the Compose Message editor now use px. This aligns Bullhorn’s formatting with how email clients render text, so your selected font size and the delivered email font size match.
What This Means for You
Your font selections will now appear the same in the Bullhorn app and in the emails you send. Only the unit of measurement has changed; the visual appearance of each font size has been standardized for consistency.
Updated Font Sizes
Here’s how the previous point values map to the new pixel values:
If you selected 14 pt, email clients converted that to 14 px, which appears smaller. After the update, 14 pt now correctly displays as 19 px, matching what you see in the editor.
| Selected Size | BUG: Displayed As | FIXED: Now Displays As |
|---|---|---|
8 pt | 8 px | 11 px |
9 pt | 9 px | 12 px |
10 pt | 10 px | 13 px |
11 pt | 11 px | 15 px |
12 pt | 12 px | 16 px |
14 pt | 14 px | 19 px |
16 pt | 16 px | 21 px |
18 pt | 18 px | 24 px |
20 pt | 20 px | 27 px |
The examples above show only the most commonly used font sizes, but this update applies to all font sizes in the Compose Message editor.
