Job ATS v1: Application Tracking System Basics

This article applies to ATS v1s using the ATS v1 data model only.

Overview

Bullhorn for Salesforce provides full transparency into the status of your candidatesClosed A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. throughout the various steps of the recruitment process. ATS v1 is supported in both Classic and Lightning.

This article explains how to use the ATS v1 component available from Job records for tracking multiple candidates through a single Job cycle.

A separate section focuses on the ATS v1 component available from Contact records to track the progress of single candidates through every Job to which they have been applied.


Accessing the Bullhorn ATS

Bullhorn ATS for Jobs Tab

  1. In Classic, navigate to All Tabs > ATS for JobsClosed A job (vacancy, position, role) is an opening for which a customer's client needs a placement..
    In Lighting, navigate to App Launcher and click the Bullhorn ATS for Jobs link.
  2. The Please select a Job popup window opens.
    • The Select Job dropdown defaults to the Recently Viewed jobs, you can change the filter by clicking the Change Filter link in the top right and selecting the list view you want.
  3. Pick a Job and click Select.
  4. Admin Note

    The information you see underneath the job name comes from a Field Set and can be customized at:
    Setup > Build > Create > Objects > Job > FieldSets > SelectAJob

Bullhorn ATS Button from a Job record

You can also access the Bullhorn ATS directly from Job records, in both Classic and in Lighting. Since the association with the Job is already established, when you click the ATS button, the Bullhorn ATS Kanban for that Job opens directly.

Bullhorn ATS User Interface

When accessing ATS v1 for Jobs, the UserClosed In Salesforce terminology, this is anybody that has login access to an instance. In BH4SF instances, usually the staff of recruiting companies Interface is divided into three main areas:

  1. Kanban Board: The main central section of the User Interface, which shows all the candidates applied to the Job (represented by Cards) divided into columns representing the Job Stages.
  2. ActionClosed When used in ATS or Search and Match UI, one of multiple actions available after user has selected a sub-set of Candidates Toolbar: The line of buttons on the top right corner.
  3. CandidateClosed A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. Finder: This section can be toggled using the button on the left side. This component is used to source candidate for the Job.
