Converting a Contact to a Referral
Converting" a Contact to Referral does not mean the Contact disappears. A Contact may have several Referrals; however, we use the term Convert because every time you engage with a Contact to the point that they are interested in applying to a specific requisition, it is useful to track and report on that transition as a "conversion" - similar to converting a Lead in a Marketing context. Creating a Referral for a Contact can be used for tracking purposes only, or can also automatically trigger an email to the Contact with information about a specific posted requisition in your Jobscience applicant tracking system (ATS) with a link to Apply Now.

Select Chatter Notes and then the Convert/Refer Action.

Update the fields in Referral Form:

Type of Referral should be Lead.
Referrer Feedback on Prospect is your general note, summary of the context behind inviting the Contact to apply.
Select the specific Requisition to refer the Candidate to/from the Job Order Lookup.

Dashboard: Referrals Status - Look at your Dashboard for a quick view into the status of your referrals.
