How to Use Assessment in Managing a Contact
Assessment Data Points for Contacts When Working with a Candidate
-
Raw Data: This indicates new data in the system. This would likely have a low data score and low engagement score, and likely low all around scores since it is likely they are not highly engaged yet. They may have responded to a microsite, sent you their resume, met you at an event or conference, or been imported with a list of Contacts.
-
Assessing for Fit & Interest: This is a Contact who you are actively engaged with, communicating, and assessing for fit, interest, completing their data profile, and hopefully eventually referring to an open requisition.
-
Converted to Referral: This Contact has been engaged and assessed, and referred to an open requisition. They may have additional status information relative to that requisition application, but that status is tracked and updated on the Referral object.
The Four Assessment Scores
-
Engagement: Enter a score from 0-5 (5 being the highest) that addresses how engaged the prospective Contact is. Are they responsive to emails and your calls? Do they attend your events? Have they expressed direct interest in working for your organization in the near future?
-
Talent: Enter a score from 0-5 (5 being the highest) that addresses the general skill level of this prospective Contact. Are they an "A-player?" Do they have LinkedIn recommendations that sing praises about the quality of their work? Are they highly talented, regardless of experience?
-
Cultural Fit: Enter a score from 0-5 (5 being the highest) that addresses the highly subjective factor of cultural fit, to the best of your ability. Do they prefer a 9-5 job in a corporate office, but you are a 50 employee startup with highly motivated players decentralized across the globe working long hours to get your product launched? There may be a variety of ways to assess cultural fit, and you may include specific Notes in Chatter on this topic, but drilling it down to a 0-5 rating will help you prioritize and rank prospective talent.
-
Data Score: Enter a score from 0-5 (5 being the highest) that addresses how complete this Contact's profile in the CRM is. Do you have their mobile phone number? Their address? Have you tied their Contact record to their LinkedIn Profile, and loaded a resume or PDF profile into the CRM? Have you identified their full employment history, or discovered and loaded social and professional connections into the CRM to aid in your assessment and relationship building process?
