Running the Notes Activity Report
Overview
You can use the Notes Activity report to see notes for yourself, other users, and your team. This report helps identify which leads, candidates, or contacts you have recently communicated with or should reach out to. This article covers how to filter and run the Notes Activity Report.
Filtering the Report
You can limit the records returned in this report by setting one or more of the filters in the table below. If you select multiple filters, Bullhorn returns records meeting the criteria of all selected filters. The filters marked with a red asterisk are required: you must enter data for those.

Reporting Period |
Time period of the activity to include. If left blank, the default is the previous week. |
Start Date and End Date |
Date range of the activity to include. If selected, the report pulls for these dates and ignores the Reporting Period drop-down. |
Filter user activity by (Me check box) |
Limits notes to those you created. |
Note Author |
Limits notes to those created by the selected users or for leads, candidates, or contacts these users own. |
Filter department activity by (My Department check box) |
Limits notes to those created by users in your primary department. |
Department |
Limits notes to those for users where the selected department is the primary department. If selected, the report pulls for these departments and ignores the My Department check box. |
Note Action |
Limits notes to those with the selected note type. |
Export Level |
Level of detail you want to export: summary (low-level details are not included) or detail (low-level details are included). This filter only applies when the report format is unformatted Excel. |
Report Format |
Display format of the report: web page or unformatted Excel. In the web page format, the report will only display the first 150 notes, while the totals will reflect all notes for the designated time frame. With unformatted Excel, the report will only display 500 records per internal user. |
Running the Report
After choosing the filters for your report, click Generate Report. The activity totals display by department, then for individual user. Expand the user to display their detailed activity. The following columns appear (names may differ depending on your company's terminology):

Indicates whether the note was added against a candidate or contact record. |

The type of note added. |
About |
Lead, candidate, or contact whose record to which the note was added. |
Status |
Current status of the lead, candidate, or contact. |
Note Body |
Text that appears in the note. Only the first 2500 characters display. |
