Understanding Bullhorn Standard Reports

Bullhorn's Standard Reports are a set of pre-built reports and dashboards designed to help you track and analyse your company's data at an operational level. Using information from your Bullhorn database, they cover key areas including your hiring process, notes, and user activity.

Managing Access to Standard Reports

As an administrator, you can view and run all reports in Bullhorn, and assign other users access to specific reports based on their role. See Managing Users Access to Standard Reports for instructions.

Reporting Structure and Target Goals

For these reports to pull accurate data, you'll need to define the reporting structure and target goals for all users. See the sections below for guidance on both.

Defining the Reporting Structure

Many standard reports are designed for managers to analyse and measure performance for the employees who report to them. For these reports to work correctly, each user's account must have their manager selected in the Reports To field.

A couple of things to keep in mind before setting this up:

  • The user's primary department must match their manager's primary or secondary (additional) department

  • The Reports To field can only contain one internal Bullhorn user

To view or update the reporting structure for a user:

  1. Go to Menu > Admin > Users.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the user you want to view or update.

  3. Navigate to the Contact Information section of the page.

  4. In the Reports To field, enter the name of the Bullhorn user that person reports to — usually their direct manager.

  5. Save your changes.
