About Chatbot
The Chatbot combines a number of Bullhorn Automation features to deliver a seamless, 24/7 digital recruiter experience right from your website. Each chat interaction is tailored to the journey your candidate or client has taken, ensuring a personalized and relevant conversation every time.
Just like Surveys, chat flows can be fully customized to suit your needs—and to make things even easier, we offer blueprints for common use cases to help you get started quickly.
Main Features
Chatbot's main features include:
- Custom Branding: Name and brand your Chatbot to match your website, creating a seamless and familiar experience for visitors.
- Keyword branching: Guide conversations dynamically. Chatbot picks the next question based on keywords in a user’s free-text answer, not just pre-set options.
- Jump to chat: Chatbot jumps between different chat flows smoothly based on logic, so users never have to repeat themselves.
- Recruiter handoff: Start a real-time text conversation between the visitor and their assigned recruiter via Bullhorn Messaging.
- AI Job Match
: Use the AI Job Match functionality to show candidates relevant job opportunities directly in the chat.
Chatbot creates new opportunities to engage with candidates and clients. Here's how it helps:
- Lead capture: Capture key details from new visitors to your website and turn them into leads.
- Refresh data: Gather updated information from contacts and candidates and sync it instantly to your ATS.
- Application: Guide candidates through knockout or pre-screen questions to streamline the application process.
- Check-ins: Have candidates provide a place to check in on day one.
- Feedback: Capture feedback anytime, whether it’s general insights or NPS
-style ratings.
- Referrals: Make it easy for happy candidates to refer others and automatically notify teams.
How it Works
There are three ways that Chatbot works:
Outbound Active Interaction
Just like a survey, chats can be included as links in emails and SMS.
A candidate gets added to your database and is sent a screening chat via email and/or SMS.
See Add Engagement to Automation for steps on how to set this up.
Known Website Visitors
If a candidate or client has interacted with a Bullhorn Automation previously (and visits your website from a known device), you can have a chat appear on the website. They'll also be able to see their previous chat history.
A candidate comes to your website a few weeks after interacting with a Bullhorn Automation email. A chat pops up asking them how they can be helped. The chat provides options for them to quickly view matching jobs or update their information directly back into your ATS.
See Adding a Chat to Your Website for a guide to setting this up.
Unknown Website Visitors
If someone brand new (or a known candidate on a different device) visits your website, you can present them with a new visitor chat. This chat has limited features because details about the person interacting with it are unknown. A full history of the chat interaction is available via notification, or they can be automatically exported via CSV file.
A new lead comes to your website and you capture information about who they are, whether they are a candidate or client, what you can help them with, and any other necessary information to route them to a member of your team.
If your resume parser has been enabled for Automation, you can allow new visitors to upload their resume as part of the chat. If a visitor uploads their resume, a new candidate will be created in your ATS. If a candidate already exists with the same email address, the new resume will be added to that record.
