Consenting to sync Candidate data to LinkedIn
Bullhorn controls which candidates to sync to LinkedIn through a Consent entity. Only when the candidate’s consent matches the consent required by the customer, will they sync to LinkedIn.
Customers are asked what consent purpose and legal basis they would like to sync on.
Purpose: This refers to the purpose of collecting the Candidate’s data (e.g. Recruiting, Direct mails, Promotional Emails, Sharing with 3rd Parties, etc.)
Legal Basis: This refers to the legal basis of why the Candidate’s data is being collected (e.g. Legitimate Interest, Contract Necessity, Legal Obligations, etc.)
Purpose: LinkedIn RSC
Legal Basis: N/A
Consent matches when the following is true:
Candidate Consent Purpose matches
Candidate Consent Legal Basis matches
New Customers who are setting up this integration for the first time will automatically be opted in to the following options to send their data to LinkedIn:
-
Automatically Sync Candidates Modified In The Past 12 Months: Bullhorn will automatically add standard consent information to the existing Candidate records added or edited in the last 12 months in Bullhorn so they sync with LinkedIn.
-
Automatically Sync New Candidates: Bullhorn will automatically add the consent row to these records so that they sync with LinkedIn.
For an optimal integration experience we recommend opting-in to both sync options, however we understand some of our clients may have tighter data restrictions, and thus want to restrict what information is sent to LinkedIn.
Existing Customers who have already been setup can opt-in to either option by submitting a support ticket to Bullhorn. If consent purpose or legal basis needs to change, we advise a new historical re-sync as Candidate Consent info will need to be updated, so that they can continue to sync. Only candidates that have been modified in the past 12 months will be re-synced.
