Enabling LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC)
This article explains the prerequisites and steps required to integrate Bullhorn ATS with LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC).
LinkedIn RSC links a single Bullhorn user login with a single LinkedIn Recruiter login and enables richer data sharing between the two systems.
Before You Begin
To use LinkedIn RSC, your organization must meet the following requirements:
-
You must have at least one full LinkedIn Recruiter seat.
RSC is not available for Recruiter Lite accounts.
-
Bullhorn supports one RSC contract per Bullhorn company/database.
-
There is no additional cost from Bullhorn.
How the LinkedIn RSC Enablement Process Works
Enabling LinkedIn RSC involves coordination between LinkedIn, your Bullhorn Account Manager, and your internal Bullhorn administrator.
Here’s the high-level process:
-
Request RSC from LinkedIn: Your organization must first ask LinkedIn to enable the RSC integration for your LinkedIn Recruiter contract.
-
Notify your Bullhorn Account Manager: Once LinkedIn has enabled RSC, inform your Bullhorn Account Manager that you would like to activate the integration.
-
Review and sign the required addendum: This addendum, provided by your Bullhorn Account Manager, allows Bullhorn to sync approved candidate data to LinkedIn.
-
Complete the Bullhorn RSC Enablement Form: This form captures your organization’s data-consent preferences for syncing candidates to LinkedIn.
-
Bullhorn configures your environment: Bullhorn Support will complete the technical setup for your integration.
-
Connect RSC through Bullhorn Connection: A designated user in your organization will connect your LinkedIn Recruiter contract to Bullhorn.
-
Bullhorn finalizes the sync: Once connected, Bullhorn Support completes the setup and begins syncing candidate data based on your consent settings.
Candidate Data Consent for LinkedIn RSC
Bullhorn uses Consent settings to determine which candidates are allowed to sync to LinkedIn. A candidate will sync only when their consent record matches both of the following:
-
The Purpose set by your organization
-
The Legal Basis set by your organization (if applicable)
Default values (if your organization does not specify alternatives):
-
Purpose: LinkedIn RSC
-
Legal Basis: N/A
What Purpose and Legal Basis Mean
-
Purpose describes why you are collecting candidate data.
-
Examples: Recruiting, Direct Outreach, Sharing with Third Parties
-
-
Legal Basis describes the justification for collecting and processing candidate data.
-
Examples: Legitimate Interest, Contract Necessity, Legal Obligation.
-
Syncing Candidates to LinkedIn
New Customers
During setup, new LinkedIn RSC customers can choose to enable the following options:
Automatically Sync Candidates Modified in the Last 12 Months
Bullhorn automatically adds consent information to existing candidate records that were added or edited within the past 12 months.
Automatically Sync New Candidates
Bullhorn automatically adds consent information to any new candidates created going forward.
We recommend enabling both options for the best integration experience.
Existing Customers
If your organization previously enabled LinkedIn RSC, you can opt into either sync option at any time by submitting a Support ticket. If you change your consent Purpose or Legal Basis later, you may need a new historical sync so updated Candidate Consent data can be applied.
