Generating a Job Activity Report

You can run the Job Activity Report to track recruiting and sales activity for new and open jobs they own and that other users own.

Generating a Job Activity Report

  1. From the Menu, select Tools > Reporting.

    The Reporting tab opens.
  2. Select the Standard Reports drop-down list.

    A list of reports appear.
  3. Next to the Job Activity Report report, select Run.

    The report opens to the Criteria tab.
  4. Limit the records returned in this report by setting one or more of the filters in the list below.

    • Reporting Period: Time period when the job was added. If blank, defaults to last week.

    • Date Added From and To: Date range for when new jobs were added. If selected, the report pulls for these dates and ignores the Reporting Period drop-down.

    • Filter user activity by: Limits data to activity you own.

    • Job Owner: Limits data to activity for the selected users.

    • Run By: Determines if the report results are grouped by department or company.

    • Client: Limits activity to jobs associated with this company.

    • Filter department activity by: Limits data to activity for your primary department.

    • Department: Limits data to activity for selected users for whom the selected department is the primary department. If you select specific departments, the report pulls for those departments and ignores the My Department check box.

    • Filter by New or Open Jobs: Select New to limits data to jobs added in the selected date range. If no date range is selected it defaults to the past week. Select Open to limit data to all open jobs from the last week. When the date range filter is selected, it shows all open jobs from within the selected date range.

    • Employment Type: Limits data to jobs with the selected employment types.

    • Graph: Select this checkbox to hide the graphical version of the report when generated.

    • Export Level: Indicated the level of detail you want to export. Select Summary to exclude low-level details or select Detail to include low-level details. This filter only applies when the report format is unformatted Excel.

    • Report Format: Display format of the report: web page or unformatted Excel.

  5. At the bottom of the page, select Generate Report.

    The report is generated.

Report Result Descriptions

Department

Organizes activity by the departments and individual salespeople in your organization.

Jobs

If running the report for new jobs - number of jobs added during the selected date range. If running the report for open jobs - number of jobs currently open.

# Pos

Number of job openings.

Submissions

Number of submissions against the jobs.

Client Submissions

Number of client submissions against the jobs.

Interviews

Number of appointments against the jobs, where the appointment has:

  • A type that includes the word Interview.

  • A job and candidate referenced.

Subsequent Interviews

Number of appointments against the jobs, where the appointment has:

  • A type of 2nd Interview, 3rd Interview, or Final Interview.

  • A job and candidate referenced.

Offers

Number of submissions with a status of Offer Extended.

Hires

Number of Placements.

Starts

Number of placements with a current or prior status of Approved.

Internal Response Rate

Percentage of job openings in this report with at least one submission.

Client Submissions / Submissions

Ratio of client submissions to submissions.

Response Rate

Percentage of job openings in this report with at least one client submission.

Interviews / Client Submissions

Ratio of interviews to client submissions.

Offers/Interviews

Ratio of offers to interviews.

Starts/Offers

Ratio of starts to offers.

Hit Rate

Ratio of client submissions to starts.

Report Sales Person Result Descriptions

When you expand a salesperson's row, more columns appear. Refer to the following image and table to understand them.

Employment type selected on the job.

Number of openings on this job.

Status

Current status of the job.

Recruiter

Name of the recruiter assigned to the job.

Date Added

Date the job record was added to Bullhorn.

City & State

City and state listed on the job.

Submissions

Number of candidates submitted to the job.

Client Submissions

Number of candidates submitted to the contact on the job.

Interviews

Number of appointments scheduled for the job where the:

  • Appointment type that includes the word Interview that is not "2nd Interview", "3rd Interview," or "Final Interview."

  • Job and candidate are referenced.

Subsequent Interviews

Number of appointments scheduled for the job where the:

  • Appointment type is 2nd Interview, 3rd Interview, or Final Interview.

  • Candidate is referenced.

Offers

Number of submissions against the job, where the status of the submission changed to Offer Extended.

Hires

Number of placements against the job.

Starts

Number of approved placements.
