What is Web Sourcing View?
Jobscience Web Sourcing from within Short Lists is a tool for expanding your Candidate database and growing your Short List membership.
A significant challenge facing new recruiters today is the search query knowledge supported by different open web sources. The Jobscience tool simplifies a recruiter's requirement to know the search syntax unique to each web domain. Web Sourcing has the knowledge pre-canned into the system.
You can access the Web Sourcing View at any time by clicking the Sourcing View tab.
When you first access the Web Sourcing View, all of your sites are enabled by default. You can disable a site by clicking on it. The button changes from green (enabled) to gray (disabled).
Searching for Candidates
-
From the Web Sourcing View, enable the sites you want to search and disable the sites you do not want to search by clicking the appropriate site buttons.
-
Optionally, enter a location to search in the Location box.
-
Click the Search button.
The search automatically uses any tags that are defined in the header to search for additional Candidates.
Your search results are displayed as new tabs in your browser.-
For example, if you entered the location "CA", have the tag "Jobscience" already created, and have LinkedIn enabled, the LinkedIn search results will look similar to the following:
-
Notice that the search string contains both the tag (i.e., Jobscience) and the location (i.e., CA), and that the results that are displayed are relevant to what you are searching for.
From here you can download the resume in PDF format and upload it into the system using the Resume Loader or the Add Resume button from within Jobscience.
