Running the Sales Manager Dashboard

Sales managers can use the Sales Manager Dashboard to look at sales activity for the month. This includes length of time to between qualifying a lead and making a submission, as well as number of openings that get filled. This dashboard comprises six reports:

  • Starts/Ends - Current Month/Year
  • Submission Ratios - Last 30 Days
  • Efficiency Ratios - Last 30 Days
  • Timing - Last 30 Days
  • YTD Department Leaderboard
  • YTD Sales Leaderboard

Bullhorn displays activity for users who report to you, and whose primary department is the same as your primary or secondary (additional) department. For example, Toni is the sales manager and her primary department is Boston and her secondary departments are Chicago and New York. Rob reports to Toni and his primary department is Chicago. Sharon also reports to Toni and her primary department is Dallas. Rob's data is included in the dashboard but Sharon's is not given that her primary department does not match Toni's primary or secondary departments.

The following tables describe each report. Titles may differ depending on your company's terminology.

Starts/Ends

Chart displaying placements starting and ending this month, for each of your primary and secondary departments.

Column

Description

Starts

Number of placements with a current or prior status of Approved and a start date between the first day of the current month and today. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • For contract placements:
    • A bill rate and pay rate greater than zero
    • An end date filled out
  • For permanent placements:
    • A fee % greater than zero
    • A salary greater than zero
Ends

Number of placements ending this month with a status of Completed or Terminated. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

 


Submission Ratios - Last 30 Days

This report displays recruiting activity for a rolling 30-day period, for your primary and secondary departments.

Column

Description

Submission/Client Submission

Ratio of unique client submissions to submissions in the last 30 days. Only counts submissions associated with jobs added by users within your primary or secondary departments. Does not count submissions with a status of New Lead.

  • (Client Submissions / Submissions) x 100
Client Submission/Interview

Ratio of interviews to unique client submissions added in the last 30 days. Only counts submissions and interviews associated with jobs added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • (Interviews / Client Submissions) x 100
Interview/Placement

Ratio of placements to interviews added in the last 30 days. Placements are counted regardless of their status. Only counts placements associated with jobs added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • (Placements / Interviews) x 100

 


Efficiency Ratios - Last 30 Days

This report displays sales activity for a rolling 30-day period, for your primary and secondary departments.

Column

Description

Contact Conversion Rate

Ratio of  jobs added in the last 30 days for new contacts to new contacts added in the last 30 days. Only counts jobs and contacts owned by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • (New Contacts with at Least One Job / Contacts Added) x 100
Fill Rate

Ratio of placements to jobs added in the last 30 days. Only counts jobs and placements owned by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • (Placements / Job Added) x 100
Hit Rate

Ratio of placements to unique client submissions added in the last 30 days. Only counts client submissions associated with jobs owned and added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • (Placements / Client Submissions) x 100

 


Timing - Last 30 Days

This report displays recruiting activity for a rolling 30-day period, for your primary and secondary departments.

Column

Description

Days to 1st Job

Average number of days between the date the contact was added and the date the first job is added. Only counts jobs and contacts added in the last 30 days that are owned by users within your primary or secondary departments.

Days to Fill

Average number of days between the job added date and the first placement for the job. Only counts jobs and placements added in the last 30 days that were added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

 


YTD Department Leaderboard

The top five earning departments by revenue. These departments must be your primary or secondary departments.

Click the down arrow in the report header to toggle between graph and list format.

Column

Description

Total Starts

Number of placements added this year with a current or prior status of Approved. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

Only available on the list view.

Total Revenue

Revenue for permanent and contract placements added and approved this year. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • Permanent placements must contain:
    • A fee greater than zero.
    • A salary greater than zero.
  • Revenue is calculated using this formula:
    • Revenue = Salary x Fee
  • Contract placements must contain:
    • A bill rate and pay rate greater than zero.
    • An end date.
  • Contract revenue is calculated using this formula:
    • Start Date - End Date = Days Worked (only counts Monday - Friday)
    • Bill Rate x Days Worked = Estimated Revenue

The top five performing sales users by revenue. Click the down arrow in the report header to toggle between graph and list format.

Name

Name of the user.

Total Starts

Total number of placements added and approved this year. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

Only available on the list view.

Total Revenue

Revenue for permanent and contract placements added and approved this year. Only counts placements added by users within your primary or secondary departments.

  • Permanent placements must contain:
    • A fee greater than zero
