Contacts Tab
This article contains information about viewing and managing Contacts in Bullhorn Automation.
Contact Card
On the Contact tab, select a record to open its Contact Card. The Contact Card shows you information about a contact, including:
- Bullhorn Automation Score
- Activity feed
- This shows recent activity in chronological order, and can be filtered for specific activity types.
- Automation membership
- List membership
- Up to top five matching Jobs
This is a useful way to test if automations for Jobs are working properly.
These jobs will only appear if there are jobs to match.
- Additional details about the contact
- Full history of the contact’s activity.
- Mailable/textable status. These statuses include:
- Opt Out from ATS: Bullhorn field massMailOptOut is TRUE/YES (meaning the contact has opted out of mass mail in Bullhorn).
- Opt Out by Contact: The contact has unsubscribed from a Bullhorn Automation email.
- Unsubscribed by Bounce: The contact has experienced a Hard Bounce
An email that cannot be delivered for a permanent reason, such as an email or domain name that doesn't exist. from a Bullhorn Automation email.
- Opted Out by Contact with Same Email: Bullhorn Automation identifies opt outs by email address, so if you send an email to a candidate or contact and they opt out, any other records with the same email address will be opted out too.
- Unsubscribed By Client: The contact has been unsubscribed by a client user from the Automation tab in the ATS.
Phone Numbers
Contacts’ phone numbers won't always display exactly as they do in the ATS. This is because
parses the number to remove formatting and separate the country code so that text messages can be sent in an acceptable format.For Australia and New Zealand,
only keeps a maximum of nine digits and trims the numbers before that. "0" is removed.Advanced Search
On the Contacts tab, you can use the Advanced Search button to filter contacts by criteria, such as record type, lists they're on, etc.
The number of records matching the search will show once you select your criteria. You can save searches for quick access later.
Select a record from the search results to open their Contact Card.
Use the Advanced Search to test your list logic prior to building a new list. You can run a search using your chosen criteria to see which contacts are returned. If you like the results, you can save it as a list.
Add a Contact to Bullhorn Automation
syncs candidates and sales contacts automatically from . This sync only works one way, so you can't create contacts/candidates directly in and have them appear in the ATS.
Check a Contact’s Mailable Status
Follow these steps to check a contact’s mailable status:
- Navigate to the contact’s profile.
- Scroll down and click Additional Details.
- Check the Mailable Status field. If they've unsubscribed, opted out, or had an email bounce, this will be set to No.
Unsubscribe a Contact from Emails
Follow these steps to unsubscribe a contact from
emails:- Navigate to the contact/candidate record in .
- Select the Bullhorn Automation tab.
- Select the Stop Sending Bullhorn Automation Emails option.
- After selecting this option, they will no longer receive emails sent via , even if they're part of a list.
Merge Duplicate Records
If there are duplicate candidates or contacts in Duplicates list.
, merge the records together in . The duplicate will be removed from after a manual sync or standard hourly sync. These records will also be removed from the presetSee Duplicates Records in Bullhorn Automation for more information.
Remove a Contact from Bullhorn Automation
To remove a Contact from
, simply archive their record in .If the record only exists in IsDeleted column to TRUE. This will remove the contact from all lists they're associated with.
