Steps

  1. Click the Break Type exception description to expand and edit the details.
  2. When the exception expands, you'll see two sections for language options: Web Language and Clock Language.
    • This means you can set Clock exception messages independently from the Web exception messaging.
    • Clock Language messaging impacts employees using clocks such as the Tempo, Virtual Time Clock (VTC), Cloud Clock, or Mobile Clock.
    • Web Language impacts employees using Web Time Entry (WTE).
  3. Within each section, edit the following details:
    • Short Name - This represents the alert shown to employees when an exception is triggered. You can update the language in the alert itself.
    • Description - Seen as employees hover over the short name of the exception.
    • Resolution Option - This is what is shown to employees as reasons for the exception.
    • Does this break create a penalty? - Indicates if the break will create a penalty on the time card.
      • You may also see Is this resolution voluntary? based on your Penalties selection.
    • Add Resolution Option - Allows for the creation of additional resolution options available to the employee.
      • You can add more options such as "I was not provided a break".
  4. When you're done customizing messaging for the exception type you chose, click the exception description again to close the window.
  5. Repeat the process for other exception types as needed.
  6. Click SAVE AND NEXT to confirm your changes and continue to Clock Employee Options.
