Overtime Override Guide
If you have the Overtime Override feature in Web Time Entry, your agency has determined that you are allowed to change the overtime and double-time allocations for a period.
Example: You may have worked a total of 10 hours on your assignment for a day, but your employer has agreed to pay you overtime for anything beyond 8 hours for the day. In this case, you would use the Overtime Override feature to change your allocations for the period to reflect the agreement between you and your employer.
Follow the steps below to manage your Overtime Allocations:
- After submitting your timesheet for approval, click the menu next to your assignment name.
- Click Show OT.
- Review the regular (Reg), overtime (OT), and double-time (DT) values. Ensure the hours are allocated correctly for each work day.
- To make changes to the OT and DT allocations, place your cursor inside the corresponding cells and enter the correct values. If you make a mistake or need to start over, click the Reset Values button to revert all values back to their original allocations.
- Click Ok to save the allocation changes and close the window. The regular hours are then automatically re-calculated for the day and for the week, based on the number of hours entered.
If you need to modify your time after saving OT allocation changes, all OT allocations for the assignment will be automatically removed. You will have to resubmit your time and then reallocate your OT/DT hours.
