Availability of Credit Memos for Invoicing
Within the Jobscience Backoffice product, Credit Memos can be created during the Invoice process when you (the Jobscience customer) owes the Client (the company where you Placed a worker) money back. The money back could be due to a variety of reasons, but mainly a Permanent Placement 'Falling Off' or a Temporary/Contractor had an Approved Timesheet for too many hours.
Similarly to regular Invoice Templates, it is possible to have multiple Credit Memo Templates. But unlike regular Invoice Templates, the Credit Memo Template has a configuration requirement to be considered for Credit Memo use. This configuration requirement is leveraged when more than 1 Credit Memo Template is available for use. However, it's best to implement this configuration requirement even if 1 Credit Memo is created.
Configuration Requirement:
- Access any Invoice Template Record that is intended for Credit Memo use
- Edit each Invoice Template Record
- Confirm (or add) the value CreditMemo to the beginning of the Invoice Template Name Field
If the configuration requirement is not met AND multiple Credit Memo Templates exist, the picklist when selecting the Invoice Template will display zero options.
