Password Requirements
When creating a new password, it must meet the following security rules:
-
Must include letters, at least one number, and at least one special character (for example: ! @ # $)
-
Must be at least 8 characters and no more than 30 characters
-
Cannot include spaces, your username, or the words "Bullhorn" or "Password".
-
Cannot be the same as any of your last five passwords (or more, depending on your company settings)
-
The plus (+) and forward slash (/) characters are not supported.
For the strongest security, choose a password that uses a varied mix of letters, numbers, and special characters. Never share your password with anyone.
Password Expiration and Account Lockout
When your password expires, Bullhorn prompts you to create a new one when you next log in. You will need to enter your old password, then enter and confirm your new password.
-
Passwords expire after a maximum of 90 days. Your company may choose a shorter expiration period, but cannot extend it beyond 180 days.
-
The default limit for failed login attempts is 20. This value may vary based on your company settings.
-
If your account becomes locked after too many failed attempts, an Administrator must unlock it.
