October 2024 (2024.10.5 GA Release - Package Version 8.17.4

Since the last general release (Bullhorn for Salesforce Release Notes), we have been busy with the following:

  • Development of new and enhanced features
  • Minor enhancements and resolved issues

When upgrading to this Bullhorn for Salesforce Release 2024.06 or any post-security review package, specific post-deployment steps are required to ensure a smooth transition for the Org users. Contact Bullhorn Support for more information.

Mandatory Post Deployment Steps

Due to the much-anticipated implementation of the ATSv2 Customizable Column feature, which lets users customize the data in Table ViewClosed One of the three user Interfaces in ATS v2 (the others being Kanban View and List View) and Chevron View, some adjustments to the logic are required.

Important! These Post Deployment Steps are mandatory for all users, regardless of whether or not they use the feature.

There are two parts to the deployment: Manual Deployment and Automatic Deployment.

The mandatory post deployment steps will require this code:

You can now personalize your ATS columns by reordering, removing, and adding new ones to suit your needs.

Quick Search Functionality With ATS Nested Menus

With the new sub-menu search function, you can now quickly find actions by filtering with keywords. This feature is especially helpful for managing a large number of ATS actions, allowing users to efficiently locate specific actions.

Email Editor

New Features

Add Unsubscribe Headers to Outgoing Emails

BH4SF users can now display a user-friendly unsubscribe link in the header of outgoing emails by leveraging the unsubscribe functionality provided by services like Gmail and Yahoo. Selecting this link allows users to unsubscribe from all emails from the domain the email was sent from. This functionality is enabled through a new parameter that includes the unsubscribe link.

A new view mode is available for PowerNotes and PowerShare called Table View. Table View is an alternative to the current Summary View.

SF Winter ‘25 Salesforce_Host__c Setting Update to Affect BH4SF Managed Package Code Where Salesforce Instance Name is Used

In the Winter ‘25 release, Salesforce is enforcing Updating APIClosed API, or Application Programming Interface, is used by customers to create custom career portals or to take advantage of Data Mirror/DataMart. Bullhorn prefers to use REST API. Calls to Use Your My Domain Login URL. This enforcement will affect all places in the BH4SF managed package code where the Salesforce instance name is used.

SF Winter ‘25 to Create TextKernel Portal Visibility Issues

In the Winter ‘25 release, Salesforce is enabling a new CSP Adopt Updated CSP Directives setting. This setting will prevent iFrames (i.e. the TextKernelClosed A BH4SF partner. One of the Search and Match / Resume Parsin services providers integrated with BH4SF Portal) from displaying.

Textkernel's Match Recipe

Now, you can find candidatesClosed A person looking for a job. A candidate can also be referred to as a Job Seeker, Applicant, or Provider. who are a good match for a job using Textkernel’s AI, which provides a more flexible alternative to the previous Match button. This feature allows you to perform a match directly from a Job record, returning candidates based on a tailored Textkernel "recipe" created specifically for each clientClosed A Company is the organization where the contact works. This can also be called the Client.'s requirements.
