Mobile Clock Exceptions
Overview
calculates time worked and looks for exceptions to recommended compliance laws. If an exception to labor compliance is detected, additional prompts will display to help capture details from the employee.
The specific prompts available on your clock will vary according to setup and location.
Confirm Out Punch
may prompt you to confirm the nature of OUT punches. This information is used to determine if there are any meal period or break exceptions.
If you see the below screen, you will need to touch the option that best describes your OUT punch.
- If you are leaving for the day and will not return, touch YES - This is my last punch for the day/shift . You might touch this option if you are going home for the day and will not return to do any additional work for that day.
- If you will return to work after clocking OUT, touch NO - I plan to return to work within 90 Minutes. Touch this option if you are taking an unpaid break or if you will return to work soon.
Depending on your previous punches for the day, you may be prompted to enter more details about your punch.
Missing or Late Meal Break
If
determines that you missed a suggested meal period or that the meal period was later than recommended, it will prompt you to enter additional details about the exception.- If you missed your break or took it late because of work situation that was outside of your control, touch Due to work requirements. This can include situations where a supervisor instructed you to work without taking a break or if you were unable to stop working for most other reasons.
- If the missed or late meal period was due to a choice your made on your own, touch My choice. This can include situations where you were provided with the chance to take a meal break but decided not to take it.
- If you did take a meal period and did not record any punches for a meal break, touch I took a meal period but forgot to punch. This indicates that you were able to and did take a meal period, but there is not currently a record of those punches.
Depending on how you answer this question, you may be prompted to capture more details about the clock exception.
