Accessing the Resume File View

Learn how to switch between a parsed and original view of a candidate's resume, and how to add a resume to a record that doesn't have one recognized yet.

Bullhorn lets you toggle between a parsed view of a candidate's resume and the original file. File View is useful for resumes with complex formatting or PDFs that don't parse cleanly, while Parsed View keeps the enhanced readability and keyword highlighting.

You can access a candidate's resume from the Binoculars icon wherever a candidate record appears, including:

  • Find results

  • The Candidate list

  • Distribution lists

  • Tearsheets

  • The Submissions, Client Submissions, Placements, or Interview Appointments sections on a Company, Job, or Contact record

Accessing the Resume File View

  1. Click the Binoculars icon ().

  2. In the side panel, select the Resume or CV tab.

  3. In the top right corner, toggle to File View to see the original uploaded resume, or Parsed to return to the parsed view.

If you see a No parsed file was recognized message, see the section below.

Adding a File to a Candidate Record

If the Resume or CV tab doesn't recognize a parsed file, add one directly:

  1. Next to the File field, click the Select File drop-down.

  2. Select the file you want to upload, then select Confirm File.

  3. Go to the Files tab on the candidate record.

  4. Select Parse as Existing.

Once parsed, the file appears on the Resume or CV tab.
