Creating a Standard Resume for a Candidate

Overview

Many staffing firms use standard, or "blind," resumes for their candidates. These resumes, while branded with the firm's logo, address, and recruiter contact info, do not include contact information for the candidate. Using this format ensures that you remain the point of contact between the candidate and the client, allowing you to schedule all interviews, organize communication, and keep company's specific hiring process.

If the standard resume template is customized, the template automatically displays in the header when creating the standard resume. If the standard resume is not customized, you can insert a logo and add contact information yourself.

Steps

Bullhorn uses the contents of the Resume field on the candidate record to populate the resume text.  If this field is blank on the candidate’s record, you will need to copy and paste their resume into that field and use the DHTML Editor to make any modifications. Bullhorn also add in the contents of the system configured resume header and footer, located in System Settings.

Creating a Standard Resume for a Candidate

  1. On the candidate's record, from the Actions drop-down, select Create Standard Resume.

  2. If necessary, remove the information you do not want to display to clients.
  3. Select File and choose Save As...
  4. Fill out the Save As dialogue with your choices and select Save.

The file will be saved as a new attachment to the record.

Editing the Resume Header or Footer

In order to edit the automatically added resume header and footer, you must be an administrator on Corporate or Enterprise edition with access to System Settings.

  1. From your Bullhorn menu, navigate to System Settings.
  2. Filter the list by searching for "resume".
    • You will notice there are 5 options for heading and footers.
  3. Expand resumeHeaderHTML and input the HTML you would like to use for your header.
    • If you would like to add your company logo, it must be hosted on a website. If you do not know the URL for your logo, please ask your website administrator.
  4. Expand resumeFooterHTML and input the HTML you would like to use for your footer.
    • Repeat for resumeHeaderHTML2-5 and resumeFooterHTML2-5 as desired.
  5. Save Changes to confirm your updates.
