Adding a Field that Contains a Template
DHTML Editor fields let you store large blocks of formatted text directly on a Bullhorn record. They’re ideal when you need a reusable template or a space for rich, structured content.

Common Use Cases
Recruitment teams often use DHTML template fields for structured onboarding checklists or workflow templates that require headings, bullets, or other formatting.
How to Add a Template Field

From the Bullhorn Menu, select Admin > Field Mappings.

S-Release: Go to Tools > Field Mappings.

Expand the entity where you want to add the field.

In the Field column, type "customTextBlock" and press Enter.

Select an unused customTextBlock field from the list.

DHTML Editor fields must be created using an available customTextBlock field.

In the pop-up window, complete the field settings:
Field
Description
Display The label users will see inside Bullhorn.
Edit type
Choose DHTMLEditor, which provides a rich text area with full formatting tools.
This is ideal for templates or formatted content.
Required Selecting this option will make the field mandatory when saving the record.
Hidden Selecting this option will hide the field from the record layout.
Allow Multiple Values Allows users to select more than one option.
Some field types do not support multiple values.
Sort Order
Enter the number that determines where this field appears on the Edit screen.
Sort orders must be unique.
Leave spacing between fields (for example, 130, 135) so you can easily add more fields in between them later.
Value List
Leave blank. DHTML fields accept user-entered text and do not use a value list.
Display List
Leave blank. DHTML fields do not use display values.
Default Value Enter your template here if you want the field to pre-populate for users.
You can use simple HTML to include formatting such as bold text, headers, or line breaks.
Leave blank if no default template is needed.
Description
Optional; A short explanation that appears under the field to help users understand its purpose.
Hint Leave blank. Hints are not supported for DHTMLEditor fields and will not display.

Click Save.

You may need to refresh your Bullhorn session to see the changes.
