SEO Setup for JobscienceJob Board

JobscienceJob Boards are now available to be pulled for Google Search Internet results! After the below steps are completed, Google will need a couple of days to crawl the site and acquire search results. So it will be expected for a delayed return of results while searching Google Internet.

1. Add the robots.tx file

   1. Navigate to Setup > Sites > Edit for the Desired Site Name

   2. Go to SiteRobots.txt and Search.

   3. Select the value SiteRobots

   4. Save your changes.

2. Add the sitemap to the available VisualForce Pages

   1. Navigate to Setup > Sites > Desired Site Name > Visualforce Pages > Edit

   2. Find and Add ts2.Sitemap

   3. Save your changes.

If you have an internal point of contact who manages your DNS, the below can assist in further making the .force.com site even more SEO friendly.

A new or renamed domain will be permitted if any of the following criteria is true. Note that 00dXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is your organization's 18-digit unique API identifier in lower-case characters.

• Your domain name is a CNAME record that points to [domain].00dXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.live.siteforce.com.

  • As an example, if you are adding www.example.com, it must be a CNAME record that points to www.example.com.00dXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.live.siteforce.com.

  • Note that your domain will need to be a CNAME record for Salesforce to serve your domain.

• Your domain name has a TXT record that equals 00dXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX with no punctuation.

• Your domain name is a subdomain of an another domain in your organization.
