Add a Location to Job Orders

Customizing the Location Field

  1. Navigate to Setup.

  2. In the Grey navigation bar on the left go to the App Setup section and click Create.

  3. Proceed to Objects.

  4. In the Object list that appears select Job Order
    Click the underlined words Job Order, NOT the Edit link.

  5. In the new page that appears find Custom Fields & Relationships and in that section find the Location field

  6. Go to Location.
    Click the underlined words Job Order, NOT the Edit link.

  7. Scroll down to Picklist Values Section and select New.

  8. Enter the new picklist values and select the Record types that will be able to use these values.
    If you are not sure we recommend selecting all the record types.

  9. Save your changes.
