Apply with Indeed

When the below is implemented, Job Orders are posted via the normal Jobscience process - Post Job checkbox. Once checked, the Job Order will be on the Jobscience Job Board. Indeed uses a scraping process to capture changes to the Jobscience Job Board - Job Orders posted and Job Orders unposted. These changes are made to the Indeed site automatically.

When a candidate applies via the Indeed site, the resume is sent to Jobscience via an Email to Parse address and associated to the Source of Indeed. If the candidate already existed in the Jobscience database, only the Application Source will be associated to Indeed.

Setting Up Apply with Indeed

1. Create (or locate) the Indeed Source record.
   All Tabs > Sources

   • TXT Key: Application from

   • Active: Checked

   • Viewable on Job Board: Checked

   • Capture the Source ID (found in the URL) for this record.
     Copy the value somewhere for later use in step 4.

     • Example URL:

       The bolded section is the Source ID.

2. Create (or locate) the Email to Parse address.
   ​Setup > Develop > Email Services > Resume

   • Active: True

   • Context User: The desired internal user that will be posting to Indeed.
     This user will become the Contact Owner for newly added Candidates to the Jobscience database.

   • Accept Email From: Blank

3. Confirm (or configure) the Social Custom Settings.
   ​Setup > Develop > Custom Settings > Manage for the Social Settings option > Edit

   • Indeed API Token: 2d3b5e61941c6e925604d81a9cdce15bbc5d5af4bfe42f2c6b583f31c7a81336

   • Apply with Indeed: Checked.

   • Indeed Email to Parse Address: the item you located in the above step 2.

4. Confirm (or configure) the Config Custom Settings.
   ​Setup > Develop > Custom Settings > Manage for the Config option > Edit

   • Indeed Source ID: Source ID captured in the above step 1.

5. Provide the Jobscience customer the Job Board URL.
   You will need to share this with your Indeed Account rep to begin the site indexed for auto posting/unposting of Jobs.

   • Setup > Develop > Sites.
     Copy the Site URL for the desired site, it is most likely labeled Careers or Openings.
     

Additional Information

During step 2, multiple addresses could be created for use, as an internal Jobscience user could have their own Email to Parse address. If this approach will be taken, follow the below modifications to step 3.

Setup > Develop > Custom Settings > Manage for the Social Settings option > New.

• Location: User.

  • Use the Lookup Magnifier to locate&select the internal Jobscience user that matches the Email to Parse address being used.

• Indeed API Token: 2d3b5e61941c6e925604d81a9cdce15bbc5d5af4bfe42f2c6b583f31c7a81336

• Apply with Indeed: Checked

• Indeed Email to Parse Address: The address for this particular internal Jobscience user.

Following the above steps allows for all Job Orders posted/unposted from the Jobscience Job Board 'flow' to Indeed. On an individual Job Order level, this process can be disabled. A field has been created for this purpose 'Disable Apply with Indeed'. Add this field to the page layout on Job Orders and check it when desired to stop the sync for that individual Job Order.

The Apply with Indeed process functions if the Job Board has no Standard Questions configured and the Job Order has no Question Sets associated to it.
