Managing Tearsheets

A Tearsheet (hotlist) is a static list of People records (Candidates, Contacts, Leads) that users need to manually update. Users often create these lists to keep track of candidates for a specific job.

When it comes to managing your Tearsheets, you can:

  • Edit and delete Tearsheets you own
  • Remove records
  • Change ownership
  • Manage Tearsheets from the record

Edit and Delete Tearsheets

Only the owner of a Tearsheet is able to edit the settings or delete the Tearsheet from Bullhorn.

  1. Navigate to Menu > Tearsheets.
    • S-Release: Navigate to HomeTearsheet List.

  2. Click the Filter icon and search for the name of the Tearsheet.
  3. To the left of the Tearsheet you wish to modify, select Actions > Edit or Delete:
    • Edit: Allows you to rename, add records, or change the Visibility to Public or Private.
      • Public: Visible to everyone at your company and allows them to add and remove records. 
      • Private: Visible to only yourself and ensures you're the only one who can modify it.
    • Delete: Deletes the Tearsheet.

Remove Records From a Tearsheet

If your Tearsheet is set to Public, any user can add and remove records from it.

  1. Navigate to Menu > Tearsheets.
    • S-Release: Navigate to HomeTearsheet List.

  2. Click the Filter icon and search for the name of the Tearsheet.
  3. Select the Tearsheet name.
    • The Tearsheet will open and display the records that are on it.
  4. Select the records that you want to remove from the Tearsheet.
  5. Click # Selected > Remove from Tearsheet.
    • Do not select Delete as this will delete the selected records from your database altogether.

  6. Select Remove.
    • This action removes the selected records only from the Tearsheet. The records will still exist in Bullhorn.

Change Ownership

While it is not possible to transfer the Tearsheet to another user, you can copy the Tearsheet under a new owner by doing the following:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Tearsheets.
    • S-Release: Navigate to HomeTearsheet List.
  2. Click the Filter icon and search for the name of the Tearsheet.
  3. Select the Tearsheet name.
    • The Tearsheet will open and display the records that are on it.

  4. Select all the records.
  5. Click # Selected > Add to Tearsheet.

Manage Tearsheets for a Single Record

You can add and remove a single record to a Tearsheet.

  1. Navigate to the record.
  2. Click Actions > Manage Tearsheets.
  3. The Manage Tearsheets window will open prompting you with two options:
    • Tearsheets: Add or remove the names of the Tearsheets the record will belong to.
    • Create New Tearsheet: Opens a new window where you can create a new Tearsheet.
  4. Click Save.
