Submissions in Your Workflow

Overview

Including submissions in your workflow allows you to capture the total number of submissions for your records. You can take this a step further by customizing the specific submission status that you want to trigger your workflow icons. This article covers using submissions in your workflow.

See Understanding Workflow System Settings to view a list of all workflow customization options.

Submissions

Including [Submission] in your workflow system settings will add an icon on your records that is triggered by adding a submission.

[Submission] is available for the following entities:

  • Candidates: Using the candidateWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Companies: Using the clientCorporationWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Contacts: Using the clientContactWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Jobs: Using the jobPostingWorkFlowSteps system setting.

Customized Submissions

Including [Submission:____] in your workflow system settings will add an icon on your records that is triggered by adding a submission with a specified status, where ____ represents your defined submission status.

  • Do not add a space after the colon. For example, [Submission:Offer Extended] is correct while [Submission: Offer Extended] is not.
  • The submission status that you add must exist in the jobResponseStatusList system setting.
  • This tallies up the total number of submissions that are in your defined status.

Do not use [Submission:Client Submission] in your workflow because once your submission is out of that status, the icon will not be lit up anymore. Instead, check out Client Submissions in Your Workflow.

[Submission:____] is available for the following entities:

  • Candidates: Using the candidateWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Companies: Using the clientCorporationWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Contacts: Using the clientContactWorkFlowSteps system setting.
