Tasks in Your Workflow

Including tasks in your workflow allows you to capture the total number of tasks for your records. In order for the task workflow icon to light up, the task must be marked as Complete and the record must be included in the References section on the task.

You can take this a step further by customizing the specific task type that you want to trigger your workflow icons.

Including [Task] in your workflow system settings will add an icon on your records that is triggered upon completing a task.

  • The task must be marked as Complete for the workflow icon to light up.
  • The record must be included in the References section on the task.

[Task] is available for the following entities:

  • Candidates - Using the candidateWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Jobs - Using the jobPostingWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Leads - Using the leadWorkflowSteps system setting.
  • Opportunities - Using the opportunityWorkflowSteps system setting.

Customized Tasks

Including [Task:____] in your workflow system settings will add an icon on your records that is triggered by completing a task with a specified type, where ____ represents your defined task type.

  • Do not add a space after the colon. For example, [Task:Pre-Interview] is correct while [Task: Pre-Interview] is not.
  • The task type that you specify must exist in the taskTypeList system setting.
  • The task must be marked as Complete for the workflow icon to light up.

  • Candidates - Using the candidateWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Jobs - Using the jobPostingWorkFlowSteps system setting.
  • Leads - Using the leadWorkflowSteps system setting.
