Define Folders And Templates In Email Editor
Administrators can define default email folders and templates. For a more efficient workflow, pre-select these folders and templates on predefined email page types.
The VisualForce (VF An abbreviation of VisualForce, a Salesforce native framework used by developers) page supports the emailPageType
parameter. This parameter allows for the followig:
- Choose the type of email you want to use in the Opt In/Opt Out process.
- For example, transactional, sales, and marketing
- Limit which email templates are available in the email editor for use.
- Determine which email template or folder is used when the user opens the email editor.
Logic
- Populating Both Fields: If you populate both fields, the default email template takes precedence over the folder. This means that the folder of the specified default template belongs to would be taken as a default folder and the value of the Default Email Folder field will be ignored.
- Incorrect Specification: If the default template/folder you specified for these fields is incorrect for some reason (EX: typo in a name, insufficient access level, the folder is not in the list of available folders on the Email Template In BH4SF, this mainly refers to email templates Folders field, etc.) the BH4SF Email Editor will be loaded without template/folder pre-selection.
