Restricting User Login
Learn how to control when and where a user can log in to Bullhorn. Login restrictions let you limit access by IP address, time of day, or day of the week. This is useful if, for example, you want a user to only access Bullhorn from their office network.
You'll need Admin-level access to complete these steps.
Login restrictions are available for the North American, European, Middle East, and African regions.
Before You Begin
There are a few things worth knowing before setting up restrictions:
-
IP addresses: You can enter a single IP address, a wildcard range (for example, 111.222.111.*), or multiple addresses separated by commas.
-
Dynamic IP addresses: If your organisation uses dynamic IP addresses, you'll need to update the restriction whenever the IP changes. Check with your IT team if you're unsure whether your IPs are static or dynamic.
-
Time-of-day restrictions: Hours are applied in Eastern Standard Time (EST), regardless of the user's local time zone. Adjust the hours to match EST before saving.
To restrict a user in California to 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, set the restriction to 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST.
