Placing a Candidate in a Job
Once the contact interviews the candidate, extends an offer, and the candidate accepts, you should create a placement record.
Start this step from the job record. If you add the placement from the internal submission log on the Activity tab, the job, contact, and candidate details are already populated on the placement form.
After you complete this step, Bullhorn automatically changes the candidate's submission status to Placed. For more information, see Updating a Candidate's Submission Status.
To Add a Placement Record for a Candidate
-
On the job record, click the Submissions tab.
-
Expand Submissions.
-
Check the box for the candidate.
-
From the Move drop-down, select Placement.
-
Adjust the compensation fields if needed. The Submission Pay Rate, Submission Bill Rate, and Submission Salary fields are pre-populated if you entered this information when you logged the submission. Pay Rate, Bill Rate, and Salary pull through from the job record if that information exists there. Update any of these fields to match what the candidate is actually receiving.
-
Close the job, unless there are multiple openings or the job closes automatically.
-
Update the candidate's status, date of availability, and end date, if applicable.
-
Click Move.
-
Enter any remaining information. For example, you can send an email notification to whoever originally submitted the candidate to the job.
-
Click Save.
