Comparing Candidate Lists

The tables below briefly summarize the differences between the legacy Candidate List and the new Candidate List. Click the links for a more in-depth look at the enhancements we’ve made in the new Candidate List.

The new Candidate List will be enabled for all customers by the end of 2025.

You may notice some features from the legacy Candidate List are not yet present in the new Candidate List. We are continuing to develop and improve the new list view, so keep an eye on our Release Notes to see the latest enhancements.

List View

Legacy Candidate List New Candidate List

No pagination; you have to scroll to load 25 records at a time.

Added pagination and the ability to automatically load a max value of 200 records per page.

Ability to Select All to see the total number of candidates in your ATS.

Can view the total number of candidates in your ATS by navigating to Advanced Search without criteria, and viewing the number in the Show All Candidates button.

No Quick Search bar.

Quick Search bar allows you to open recent searches and search for saved searches.

Advanced Search only.

A choice between Quick Search for quickly accessing recent/saved searches, or Advanced Search for more complex queries.

Clear Search removes search values.

Clear Filter removes column filters.

Clear All removes both search values and column filters.

Clear Search removes search values and removes quick filters from the list.

 

Columns

Legacy Candidate List New Candidate List

Column layout is controlled via Columns dropdown and by clicking and dragging the column headers in the list.

Column layout is controlled via a Columns window, allowing for easier customization and saving multiple column layouts.

Able to filter on list column.

Filters for columns are controlled through Quick Filters on the list.

 

Favorites / Saved Search

Legacy Candidate List New Candidate List

Unable to update an existing saved search you have created.

Able to update and save changes to an existing saved search you have created.

Favorite searches only include the name of the search in the list, and no other information.

Favorite searches are renamed “Saved searches”, and the list now includes the owner and previews criteria used.

 

Advanced Search

Legacy Candidate List New Candidate List

Able to search on individual address fields (address1, address2, city, state, zip, etc).

Able to search all individual address fields in a single fullAddress field.

Unable to search whether a field contains values or not.

Able to add an Is Empty? operator to search if a field has data (Is Empty = Yes) or does not have data (Is Empty = No). This currently works for Text, Date, and Picker fields only.

Support for Int, Money, and Float fields will be available in a future release.

 

User Search

Search for candidates based on Users, Departments, and Corp in the Users filter.

Selecting a user auto-selects the department the user belongs to.

Search for candidates based on Users, Departments, and Corp in the Users filter.

Selecting a user does not auto-select the department the user belongs to.
