Note Searching

You can easily search for specific notes attached to records in Bullhorn by using the Search function.

  1. From your Bullhorn Menu, go to the list you’ll be searching (Candidate, Contact, etc.).
  2. If the  button appears in the top right corner, select Clear All.
  3. Click the Search box.
  4. Under Additional Criteria, use the drop boxes to select what to search for.
    • Example: Note Action > Include Any > Outbound Call

  5. Add more Additional Criteria fields to further narrow your search until you find the note you’re looking for.
    • Example: Date Note Added > Within > Past 7 days
  6. Click Search.
    • You can either open the record and view the notes, or view the notes on the slideout from the list view.

Advanced Note Searching

Advanced Note Searching makes the process much simpler by pulling all the note-related search fields into their own area on your search box. This decreases the need to scroll through a large number of options to find the note specific options you’re looking for.

  1. From your Bullhorn Menu, select Candidates. You can also select Contacts or Leads.
  2. If the button appears in the top right corner, click it and select Clear All.
  3. Click the Search box.
  4. Under Advanced Note Searching, use the drop boxes to select what to search for. You'll notice the list is shorter and easier to navigate.
    • Example: Note Action > Include Any > Outbound Call
      • Note Action search by default searches for all note types containing those words, so if you search for Outbound Call and you have a note type of Second Outbound Call, you will get both back in your search.

  5. Add more Additional Criteria fields to further narrow your search until you find the note you’re looking for.
    • Example: Date Added > Within > Past 7 days
  6. Click Search.
    • You can either open the record and view the notes, or view the notes on the slideout from the list view.
