New Candidate List: Taking Action on Search Results
You can take action on one candidate or many from the New Candidate List. Whether you’re sending an email, adding to a tearsheet, or updating statuses in bulk, you can stay efficient and manage your workflows directly from search results.
The new Candidate List is currently being rolled out and will be enabled for all customers in the near future.

Common Ways to Take Action on Search Results
You’ll use these tools when you want to:

Email multiple candidates from your search results.

Add several candidates to a tearsheet or distribution list.

Perform a quick status change or ownership update.

Create tasks or submissions in bulk.

Export a list of candidates for offline reporting.
Taking Action on a Single Candidate
When reviewing a single candidate, use the Actions button in the Candidate Slideout to perform quick updates without leaving the list.
Available single-record actions include:

Email

Add Note

Manage Tearsheets

Add Client Submission

Add Placement
More options will be added in future releases to match the legacy Candidate List.
Use these quick actions to stay in context — no need to open the full candidate record.
Taking Bulk Action on Multiple Candidates
Bulk actions let you perform updates across many records at once, saving time on repetitive tasks.
To select candidates:

To select multiple records, click the checkbox next to each candidate.

To select all records on the current page, use the checkbox at the top of the list.

To select all matching results (not just the current page), use the checkbox at the top of the list and then click the "Select all matching records" message that appears at the top.
Once your selection is made, click the [X] Selected button in the top-right corner to see available bulk actions.
Bulk Actions for All Matching Records
Currently, the following actions can be taken against all matching records:

Email (Recipient limits depend on your usertype entitlements: 50, 200, or 500)

Add to Tearsheet (Limited to 2,000 per tearsheet. If more are selected, only the first 2,000 will be added.)

Export as CSV

Add to Distribution List

Change Category (Max 500 records; Mass Update Candidate Database Field entitlement required)

Change Primary Skills (Max 500 records; Mass Update Candidate Database Field entitlement required)

The actions available to you depend on your usertype entitlements, so your options may vary.
Managing Items Per Page
Pagination in the new Candidate List replaces infinite scroll, giving you better control over how many candidates you see at once.
At the bottom of the list, you’ll find:
Sorting Results
To sort the candidate list, click the arrows icon next to any column header.
Clicking once sorts in ascending order; click again to reverse the sort direction.
FAQ
How do I enable the new Candidate List or Candidate Search?
The new Candidate List and Search are currently being rolled out and will be available for all Bullhorn ATS customers in the near future.
If you don’t currently see the new view in your account and would like to enable it, please contact Bullhorn Support. Our team can confirm eligibility and help you with activation.
Can I perform all bulk actions across every page of results?
No. Only certain actions (like Email, Add to Distribution List, or Export as CSV) apply to all matching results.
Why do I see fewer bulk action options than my teammate?
Bulk action availability depends on your role and entitlements. Contact your admin if you need additional permissions.
Can I undo a bulk action?
No. Bulk actions are permanent once confirmed, so review your selections carefully before proceeding.
Can I filter before running a bulk action?
Yes. Filters and search criteria define which candidates are selected before you choose bulk actions.
