AMS Move Error
When using AMS, you may receive an error about missing permissions such as the below:
'Attempt to de-reference a null object.'
Follow the steps below to correct this issue.
- Profile permissions: Locate which user(s) that is receiving the error and access their profile.
- Application-Placement and Custom Stage 1-5. If the customer has Custom Stages enabled or renamed the standard AMS stages, you most likely will see the renamed value on the profile.
- Check for Object Settings for all AMS stages. The profile will require at least read, create, edit on these objects.
- Check the Field Level Security for the AMS stages. The profile should have edit/visible access to all standard Jobscience fields.
- Record Types: Locate the Job Order and AMS stages from the setup menu.
- Ensure that the objects have the same record types enabled across the 11 objects.
- Translation Workbench: Check for renamed values of the Record Types.
- Ensure any renaming is completed across all 11 objects.
- Setup > Translation Workbench > Override for standard JS Record Type values.
- Package = JS2 and AMS2, Setup Component = Record Type
- Setup > Translation Workbench > Translate for custom Record Type values.
- Setup Component = Record Type
If the above steps do not successfully remove the AMS move error, open a case with Jobscience Support.
