Closing an Opportunity Record
You should close an opportunity record in Bullhorn once you've either won (and converted) or lost it.
To Close an Opportunity Record
- On the opportunity record, from the Actions drop-down, select Close.
- Or click the Closed workflow icon.
- Or from the list view preview slideout of the opportunity, select the Actions drop-down, and Close.
- Select either Yes or No depending on whether you won the opportunity or lost it.
- From the Reason Closed drop-down, select a value that best represents why you are closing the opportunity.*
- Click Update.
- The opportunity's record status automatically changes to either Closed-Won or Closed-Lost and the Closed workflow icon is also marked as such.
*To change these values, you must edit the values associated with the reasonClosed field in Field Mappings. This requires administrative access. For more information, view the How do I modify the values listed in the Opportunity Reason Closed drop-down? FAQ.
